1. About This Policy

This policy explains the refund and cancellation arrangements applying to digital courses purchased through Chainsaw Courses by consumers online. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or limits your statutory rights. Where the law gives you greater protection, your statutory rights apply.

2. Your Course Purchase

Your purchase provides access to the relevant digital course for a six-month period beginning when you activate it. The exact access-expiry date is shown in your learner area.

  • Initial access lasts six months from activation.
  • The one-off Shopify purchase does not include or automatically start a subscription.
  • A separate optional Stripe continued-access subscription may be offered near expiry, with its live recurring price and billing frequency shown before payment.
  • You may ignore that offer or cancel before the first payment or any later renewal through learner access.
  • Cancelling the subscription or a failed continuation payment never shortens your original paid six-month access.

3. The Initial 14-Day Cancellation Period

Consumers purchasing online generally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period. Before immediate digital access is supplied during that period, we will ask you to expressly request immediate supply and acknowledge that your ordinary cancellation right for that digital content will cease once supply begins. This does not affect rights relating to faulty, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming digital content.

4. Cancelling Before or After Activation

If you have not activated the course and digital supply has not begun, you may normally cancel within the applicable 14-day period and receive a full refund. After activation and immediate supply following the required consent and acknowledgement, the ordinary 14-day cancellation right will normally no longer apply. Your other statutory rights remain unaffected.

  • The course or digital content is faulty, not as described or does not conform to the contract.
  • We fail to provide the content or service as required by law.
  • Another statutory cancellation or refund right applies.

To cancel before activation, contact info@chainsawcourses.com as soon as possible with your full name, account email and order reference.

5. Refund Eligibility After Activation

A payment already made for activated digital content is not normally refundable where immediate supply began after the required consent and acknowledgement, unless the law requires a remedy or we agree to a goodwill refund. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

6. How to Cancel

Contact info@chainsawcourses.com . Include your full name, account email and order reference where available. You do not need to provide a reason for exercising a statutory cancellation right.

7. Policy Changes

We may update this policy for legal, regulatory or service reasons. We will provide notice of material changes where required by law, and changes will not reduce mandatory rights that already apply to a purchase.

8. Refunds and Statutory Remedies

A refund may be due where required by law, where a charge was unauthorised, undisclosed or incorrect, or where the content or service did not conform to the contract. Remedies for faulty digital content may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

9. Technical Problems, Duplicate Purchases and Exceptional Circumstances

Contact us if a technical problem prevents reasonable access; we aim to resolve ordinary support issues within seven business days without delaying any statutory remedy. We will normally refund an unactivated duplicate transaction made in error. At our discretion, we may also provide a full or partial goodwill refund for serious illness, bereavement or another exceptional personal circumstance. Goodwill refunds do not replace statutory rights.

10. Refund Processing and Requests

Legally required refunds will be processed within the period required by law. We aim to process an approved goodwill refund within 14 calendar days. Refunds normally return to the original payment method, and no payment-processing fee is deducted where a refund is required by law. Send requests to info@chainsawcourses.com, including your full name, account email, order reference, purchase date, activation status and the reason where relevant.

11. Ending or Suspending Access

We may suspend or end access for serious breach, misuse, impossibility, discontinuation or legal requirement. If we end paid access for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will provide any refund or remedy required by law. Different terms may apply to business, employer or training-provider purchases.

12. Consumer Rights and Contact

This policy operates alongside the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 where applicable, and other mandatory consumer law. If this policy conflicts with a mandatory statutory right, that right prevails.
