How it Works
Follow the journey from activation through theory certification, CPD recognition and optional City&Guilds NPTC assessment.
Purchase the Course
Choose the e-learning course Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross Cutting and purchase securely through our checkout. If you already have a manual and do not require one, please tick the box 'I already have a manual'.
Activate Your Course
Once purchased, you will receive a unique login code. Download the Chainsaw Courses app from Google Play or Apple App Store on your phone or tablet and use this code to login.
Complete the Modules
Each module is a short training video. Watch it in full, then score 100% on its quiz to unlock the next module. After completing every module, score 80% or higher on the final exam to earn your certificate.
Receive Your Certificate
Once the final exam has been successfully completed, your IIRSM certificate will be emailed to you. Use this as proof of completion and 5 hours CPD refresher training.
Book Your City&Guilds NPTC Assessment (Optional)
Use the interactive map to find your nearest assessment venue and book your assessment. (This can take up to 4-6 weeks depending on availability). All assessment fees and communications go directly to the venue, so expect to pay around £200-250 for the assessment.
Access Period
Your one-off Shopify course purchase includes six months of access from activation. Your learner area shows the exact expiry date, and your certificate record remains accessible after course access ends.
Optional Continued Access
Near the end of your six months of activated access, we may offer a separate optional Stripe subscription for £2.99 per month. The recurring price and billing frequency are shown before payment. You can ignore the offer or cancel before the first payment or any later renewal without shortening your original paid access.
Device Lock
Your activation code is bonded to the device you first login with. It cannot be transferred to another phone, tablet, or computer. This is for security reasons.
Email on Screen?
Your email is shown alongside a dynamic watermark on every video to identify you as the licensed user. This is a copyright protection measure. Sharing, recording, or distributing course content is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination.
